Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at Stal Zwartschaap, I found a blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. The cozy apartment exuded warmth, especially with the fireplace under the barn roof. The hostess was exceptionally friendly, ensuring our needs were met. While the animals on the farm added a picturesque touch, the roosters did disrupt our sleep. The inclusion of bicycles for exploring the stunning surroundings was a delightful touch. The spacious apartment was well-equipped with essentials, from a coffee maker to free Wi-Fi. However, the absence of laundry facilities might inconvenience longer-staying guests. The outdoor dining area was a lovely spot to unwind, yet the property lacked a sun terrace for soaking up the Dutch rays.In assessing the value proposition, Stal Zwartschaap offers a quaint retreat at a reasonable cost, but it may not cater to those seeking luxurious amenities. If you prioritize a peaceful farm setting over lavish indulgences, this could be a suitable choice for a budget-conscious traveler exploring the serene countryside of Drenthe.
